Brian Riesmeijer Founder & Consultant
Basketball has been a big part of my life since I started playing at age 10. My dream to play in the U.S. came true at East Mississippi Community College (EMCC). But due to a mistake about my eligibility, my time there ended early. Later, I found out I was eligible but didn’t get the right help. This is why I started Ball on Board: to guide student-athletes on their way to success in the U.S. I want to make sure they have the support I didn’t have. By placing them in high schools and giving them guidance, we help young players adjust to a new culture and competition. I love seeing their hard work and talent turn into real opportunities. At Ball on Board, we’re here to help them every step of the way as they chase their dreams.

My connection with basketball began when I was young and has only grown stronger over time. While studying in the U.S., my children played basketball, which helped them grow both on and off the court. Through the game, they developed teamwork, discipline, and other essential life skills that shaped who they are today. Witnessing this inspired me to help others experience the same opportunities. Now, I coach players of all ages, helping them develop their skills and love for the game. To me, basketball isn’t just a sport—it’s a way to learn valuable lessons about life. My goal is to share my passion for the game and show young athletes how it can empower them to grow, both as players and individuals. I’m proud to pass on the lessons basketball has taught me and to inspire the next generation to reach their full potential.
