Aaliyah Tjin A Koeng, a 5’9’’ (176 cm) Guard/Forward, is a highly driven and mature player who has consistently competed—and excelled—ahead of her age group at the highest levels of Dutch basketball.
On offense, Aaliyah is a skilled and focused player who recognizes the importance of self-improvement, having dedicated her recent summer to rigorously sharpening her shooting consistency and ball handling. This commitment to her craft allowed her to make massive strides, culminating in a standout season where she simultaneously competed for both the U16 and U21 Premier League teams. Her rapid development quickly earned her a promotion to the top-tier Women’s Basketball League (WBL) team mid-season, where she immediately impacted winning and helped her team reach the national cup finals.
On the court, Aaliyah’s exceptional potential and understanding of the game are highlighted by her continuous selection for the national team pre-selections every single season since the age of 12. Her leadership and tactical awareness extend beyond her own play; she has successfully coached a girls' Under-12 team for the past two seasons, showcasing a deep understanding of team concepts, communication, and game structure.
