About Jaedun Hoeve

Jaedun Hoeve, a 6’1” Guard/Forward with a 6’3” wingspan, is a strong and versatile two-way player who combines physicality with an improving all-around skill set. Currently playing for UBall Utrecht, Jaedun is known for taking on tough matchups and impacting the game on both ends of the floor.

Offensively, Jaedun is most effective attacking from the midrange and getting downhill toward the rim, where he finishes well through contact. He is a strong one-on-one scorer with a varied arsenal of moves and good control of pace. In transition, he uses change-of-direction dribbles to create separation and capitalize on fast-break opportunities. While his three-point shot is still developing, his midrange jumper has become a consistent and reliable option. Off the ball, he is actively working on improving his movement and spacing, while consistently contributing on the offensive glass.

Defensively, Jaedun takes pride in guarding the opponent’s primary scoring threat. He is a strong on-ball defender who is often assigned to shut down the opposing guard or forward, using his strength, anticipation, and physical presence to disrupt rhythm. His full-court defense is an area of focus, with emphasis on refining technique and positioning.

Jaedun is a driven and resilient competitor with a strong work ethic. He trains four times per week on the court, adds two strength sessions, and competes in one to two games on weekends. He is increasingly stepping into a larger role in pressure situations, showing improved decision-making and growing leadership.

Currently in 11th grade, Jaedun plans to complete his 12th grade year in the United States, with long-term ambitions to play professional basketball and a potential academic interest in economics as he continues his development on and off the court.
